Rumbia Resort has been established since 1992. This area is a small settlement for the villagers. Rumbia resort founder Sir Baksa bin Mohd Rasan have purchased an area of 425 acres of land to build a resort. This resort is a private resort.

Sir Baksa bin Mohd Rasan has a factory. He has the factory of a processing sago from rumbia trees. His business grow and gain revenue from the factory, he built a Rumbia resort and the name is taken as the capital for the purchase of land and construction costs of resort to use profits from the

sale of sago palms. This is the desire of his late father wanted his only son build a resort place of birth of deceased father, PulauPangkor, Perak Darul Ridzuan.
